The City Beautiful Commission is a multi-member body that consists of members who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
The mission of the City Beautiful Commission is to promote beautification efforts and public interest in the general improvement of the appearance of the City of Dearborn.
Annual programs include: Residential Standards of Excellence Awards, Business Standards of Excellence Awards, School Clean-Up Parades, and the Dearborn Aglow Holiday Home Decorating Program.

The City Beautiful Commission recognizes residents for their efforts to make Dearborn beautiful. The commission judges landscaping and gardening, outdoor decorations and seasonal displays, and sustainable gardens. Programs include:
Anyone can nominate themselves or a neighbor for a City Beautiful awards program. All honorees are invited to participate in and be recognized at an annual gala with Mayor Hammoud.
