Dearborn only city in state to provide free, public World Cup watch parties, attracting thousands

Dubbed FanZone Dearborn, the City of Dearborn has partnered with What’s Up Media Network, to provide free, public watch parties for just about every football World Cup 2026 game at Dearborn’s PEACE Park West, 22271 W Village Dr.

Dearborn is the only city in the state to officially organize and facilitate free, public watch parties all tournament-long. There are no residency restrictions, all are welcome to join.

The open-air watch parties in one of the city’s new modern, urban pocket parks has already attracted thousands of viewers, with families sharing the love and excitement of the global tournament in a shared, third-space.

Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud stated, “The World Cup brings the global community together in a shared love for the sport of football, beyond borders. Dearborn being a global city, with a passionate football community, we are proud to provide this meaningful experience to fans at beautiful PEACE Park West. All are welcome to share in the joy.”

Hussein M. Hachem, What’s Up Media Network founder, added, “Dearborn has always shown what unity looks like, and the World Cup FanZone is another example of that spirit. Together with the City of Dearborn, we’re creating a free and welcoming space where families, fans, and neighbors can come together to experience the excitement of the World Cup and celebrate the diversity that makes our city special.”

The City of Dearborn has partnered with What’s Up Media Network, to provide free, public watch parties for just about every football World Cup 2026 game at Dearborn’s PEACE Park West, 22271 W Village Dr.


The matches are shown on a screen on the park’s performance stage. The events also host vendors providing refreshments. The live video and audio broadcast is provided by Jena Sound.

Although the watch parties are free and open to the public, the park holds space for approximately a thousand people. Fans are encouraged to find a spot early.
