Dearborn's street sweeping operates as part of the city’s Public Service Days program, which coordinates street sweeping, tree trimming, and other maintenance with each neighborhood's regular trash collection day. 

Public Service Days help keep Dearborn clean and safe. The city’s street sweeping schedule includes daily updates on where street sweepers will be working, Monday through Friday.

Parking Requirements

To ensure crews can perform curb-to-curb cleaning, residents and visitors must remove parked vehicles from the street between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on their scheduled trash collection day. Vehicles left on the street during these hours may be ticketed.

This week’s remaining schedule (Aug. 5 to Aug. 7, 2026):

• Wednesday, Aug. 5: Cherry Hill and Martha (west) across from Dearborn High School; and the Golfview Subdivision (if time allows).
• Thursday, Aug. 6: Prospect and Schlaff in the Geer Park Area.
• Friday, Aug. 7: Silvery Lane and Cherry Hill in the Dearborn Hills Area.
