The City of Dearborn Department of Parks & Recreation is unveiling a new generation of cabins at Camp Dearborn, 1700 General Motors Rd in Milford. The new cabins are modern, modular green structures that honor the look and feel of the historic camping tents previously stationed at the 626-acre recreational retreat.
This new option for overnight campers will be available for the camping season, beginning Friday, May 23, 2025, to kick off Memorial Day weekend. Due to the limited availability of ten cabins currently, early reservations are highly recommended.
Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud stated, “Camp Dearborn has always been a beloved place where lifelong memories are made. Our new green cabins pay homage to the tents of past decades while providing more modern elements and a safer, sturdier structure for the future. We are thrilled to provide this option for campers and make way for a new treasured tradition for families at Camp Dearborn.”
The implementation of the new green cabins honors the look and feel of the camp’s original green canvas tents while offering greater durability, weather resistance, and comfort for generations to come.
To celebrate the introduction of ten green cabins, the City is offering a special discounted rate of $90 per night (plus tax and fees) now through June 15, 2025, while reservations are available. A discounted rate of $95/night (plus tax and fees) is available on any extended stay of seven nights or more at any time during the up-coming camping season.
Camp Dearborn will once again host several seasonal activities and events in the summer and fall. Camping will remain open for RV sites, tents, and cabins, including access to picnic areas, tables, and more through the end of October. Admission is $12 at the gate per vehicle but is included in campsite reservation.
Campers can book their campsite at Dearborn.gov/Camp or by calling 248-684-6000.
