As of Thursday, May 28, 2026, Priority Waste, the City's waste collection contractor, has reported significant delays in trash and recycling pickups and yard waste collection. Due to the delay, crews will collect yard waste only on Sunday, May 31, in all affected districts. The Department of Public Works is working with Priority Waste to complete pick-ups as quickly as possible.
Residents in the Tuesday-Friday districts also have the option to drop off yard waste at the DPW Yard, located at 2951 Greenfield, this Friday and Saturday, May 29-30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
