Mummies or mums, skeletons or scarecrows, werewolves or wreaths, whatever their seasonal theme, 51 households have been selected by the Dearborn City Beautiful Commission for top honors in the Fall Aglow recognition program.
Another 100 households were picked for honorable mention.
All selected households will receive a window decal denoting their Fall Aglow recognition. Top honorees will also be invited to a celebratory dinner with Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud and City Beautiful Commissioners in early 2027.
Volunteer commissioners selected outstanding seasonal displays with themes of Halloween, harvest, or fall landscaping in 17 judging districts across the city.
To view the top honorees, go to the City of Dearborn Facebook page, or visit the displays at the following addresses. (Names used when provided by the honorees.)
The Commission judges outdoor displays for its Spring, Fall, and Winter Aglow programs, and selects homes for outstanding property maintenance and curb appeal through its Residential Standard of Excellence recognitions.
It also promotes sustainable landscaping and rain gardens through a special designation and works with schools to encourage environmental sustainability and anti-littering campaigns.
