Dearborn shines bright this holiday season with MI Bright Lights and Dearborn Wanderlights

The City of Dearborn is set to sparkle brighter than ever this holiday season with two extraordinary light-filled experiences: MI Bright Lights at Camp Dearborn in Milford, and the inaugural Dearborn Wanderlights at PEACE Park West, 22271 W Village Dr. Together, these extraordinary destinations will provide months of beauty, artistry, and family fun for residents and visitors alike.

MI Bright Lights at Camp Dearborn
Making its appearance at Camp Dearborn from Nov. 14 to Dec. 30, 2025, MI Bright Lights, 1700 General Motors Rd, offers a comprehensive drive-through holiday display that transforms the Camp into a glowing winter wonderland. Families can enjoy a mile-and-a-half route lined with a million twinkling lights, synchronized to seasonal music — all from the comfort of their vehicle.

The event opens nightly at 6 p.m. Special drone shows will light up the sky on Nov. 26, Dec. 10, and Dec. 19, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Guests can warm up with hot chocolate and purchase items commemorating the event at the historic Camp Dearborn Canteen.

Dearborn Wanderlights at PEACE Park West
Just days after MI Bright Lights kicks off, Dearborn invites the public to experience a brand-new city tradition — Dearborn Wanderlights — an exceptional display of public art, light, and community celebration from the event’s kick-off on Nov. 20, 2025 through Feb. 20, 2026 at PEACE Park West, 22271 W Village Dr. Spanning three months, this free, family-friendly installation will feature three interactive light artworks from globally acclaimed artists:

  • Lunar Lamp Posts by Amigo & Amigo
  • Fallen Stars by Amigo & Amigo
  • Kalopeiron by Two Eagles Marcus

Each month, PEACE Park West will come alive with themed community events, transforming it into a regional destination for winter celebration and connection.

Holiday Kickoff & Christmas Tree Lighting – Nov. 20, 2025, from 6-8 p.m.
The season begins with the Dearborn Wanderlights Holiday Kickoff Event, featuring the City’s new, 32-foot-tall Christmas tree, trimmed with thousands of shimmering LED lights and topped with an illuminated star.

The official tree lighting ceremony will take place at 7 p.m., signaling the start of Wanderlights’ three-month run. The kickoff celebration will also include:

  • Live entertainment and LED artists
  • Complimentary food and hot chocolate (while supplies last)
  • Glitter tattoos and family activities
  • A first look at the spectacular global light installations
  • A special surprise

This vibrant holiday centerpiece will remain lit throughout the season, offering a perfect scenery for holiday photos and family outings.
